Blackstone Has a Pink Heart

Join Southern Influence at The Hangar at Blackstone as we present a breast cancer awareness networking and fashion event benefiting stage 4 cancer combatant Tami Dupree!

We will be entertained by guitarist T Mastin Collie of “The Commitaphobics”, and the Southern Influence fashion models as they show Amanda Topper’s “Fashion Cupcake” boutique clothing!

Several Vendors will be there and have generously donated products for a raffle to benefit Tami, to help offset her medical expenses. Dallas Roe, from Miss Priss Tutus, has graciously donated her angel costume, found here, to a very lucky participant!

The first 25 ladies in the door will receive a gift bag.

Music, models merchants and more! What else do you need?

* For vending and sponsorship opportunites, or to participate with the gift bags, please contact Valerie Pierce (404)606-6650.

Stanzas & Songs

The readily available talent in the metro Atlanta area is too large to ignore. Actors, musicians  and filmmakers alike flood to neighborhoods sharing their artistry.  Well, here at North Georgia Leisure, we’ve been watching. In order to keep local talent emerging and finding avenues for creative minds to thrive, we have created our next event, “Stanzas & Songs.”

Below is the press release:

On October 19th at 7pm at MaSani’s Southern Gourmet Cuisine (Marietta), Southern Influence Marketing Group will be holding an open audition/jam session for all those interested in performing with us in future events. SIM is looking to promote local artists with a unique presence and undeniable talent. These individuals will be features, performers, and special guests to our monthly events in the area. We are currently working on many large scale events that are in need of superior artistry.

If you are interested in performing please send your name, contact info, and talent (singer, poet, musician – instrument) to courtney.tomlinson@ngleisure.com. We want to make sure everyone that wants to be heard, is heard.

These auditions are open to the public. What does that mean for attendees? Music and poetry free of charge. A menu of food to die for. Oh, and a pool of talent that has rarely been showcased anywhere else.

We are looking forward to seeing you there supporting our efforts!

Pretty In Pink Kick-Off

The best way to celebrate a cool, overcast day is behind a big pizza pie from Varasano’s! Our team assembled Thursday to celebrate our Breast Cancer Awareness events that will be happening in October. A few of our favorite vendors, including VaDi Bracelets, Totally T-Shirts, Dang It Dolls, and Bubblies Glasses, gathered to share their products with patrons at Varasano’s. This October one of our brightest team members, Missy Ben-Yehoshua, and her team will be participating in a 3-day walk for Breast Cancer. We are committed to celebrating her perseverance for this cause. Portions from all of our September and October events will go to her as she continues her endeavours.

Also, our special guest of the evening was our local author E.E. Borton. Sporting his pink shirt, he brought along his novels for signing and offered up some great conversation of his own.

We want to thank Chris Patterson, of NightHawk Photography, and Varasano’s for helping us with our events! As always, we would love to see you at our next event. Keep checking the magazine for updates.
